Throughout our ongoing battle and crusade against COVID-19, our healthcare sector has been attacked, and not just by the virus. Unfortunately, and quite egregiously, long-term care has become the maligned focus of media and other high profile, predatory platforms for negative stories, unbalanced reporting, targeted blame, and inflammatory finger-pointing. But here is a truth that is not being reported or spotlighted: there is a courageous story within our sector that includes heart, sacrifice, and outcomes that have saved thousands of lives. It is time to defend our long-term care heroes for answering the call to serve during COVID-19, and for saving thousands of lives while risking their own. Here are some facts to remember:

Congratulations Mr Gay!
Mr. Gay worked extensively with therapy towards discharge!
He was able to successfully discharge home thanks to the efforts of therapy, restorative and nursing! He is now at home with family, enjoying the Florida sun!
Kentucky State Representative, Daniel Elliot, traveled to Danville Centre on November 7th for our Annual Hall of Fame event! He had previously known Mr. William Durham, who was honored for his military accomplishments. We were so happy to be able to honor Mr. Durham along with our other inductees; but also to have Mr. Elliot attend and give a little speech! Thank you, Mr. Elliot!
Stop by Danville Centre to purchase a luminaria, a RFL shirt, donate, or to join our team for this years Relay for Life! Danville Centre and Harrodsburg Health are happy to come together to create the team “Danville and Harrodsburg Signature”. Both facilities will be walking at the Boyle-Mercer RFL walk on Saturday, August 24th (5pm-11pm) at the First Baptist church located at 1570 N Danville Bypass.
Campbellsville University’s extension campus has been a huge blessing to our home and resident’s lives. They offer free courses to our seniors, the cosmetology students pamper them on special days, and the church outreach teams volunteer to be a part of their lives and activities. This is just one of the ways that our home and community connect for meaningful relationships! Thank you to Campbellsville University and all our community partners!
Danville Centre would like to extend a VERY Happy Case Management Week out to all the Case Managers! Thank you for all that you do!
